Celebrate Me 1st Anniversary event will be held August 25 at 7 pm at the Paul Poag Theater. Public is invited

Enjoy " Dinner and a Movie " at the Paul Poag Theater. Coming July 25 at 8 p.m. "Chicago." Dinner: salad, Bistro Grilled Chicken Pizza, and a Cracker Jack Sundae, complimented by Coca Cola and water. There will be two age groups,  6 – 12 and 13 – 18,  with prizes of $100 for first place, $50 for second place and $25 for third place, for the winners in each age group. There is a $15 entry fee. Auditions for the 2008 Texas Star Talent Show will be held at Fort Clark’s Post Theater in Brackettville on Sunday, March 2nd at 2:00 p.m.  The show will be part of the Fort Clark Springs Festival 2008 with finals on Saturday, March 8, 2:00 p.m., also at the Post Theater.

Singer, songwriter, and guitarist Jon Dee Graham and band will perform at the Paul Poag Theatre on Friday, February 1st. Local Del Rio band The Family Jewels will open. Graham’s music has been featured in the film “Ladder 49” and the television series “Veronica Mars.” He is also a member of Austin's all-star band, The Resentments.

The Upstagers are holding auditions for their first play of 2008, Biloxi Blues by Neil Simon. The auditions will be held at
the Firehouse at 7 p.m. on Jan. 14. There are roles for six men and two women. All roles are for adults 18-30 years old. Anyone needing more information contact Fred Brockwell at 775-7708.

The Upstagers will hold auditions for the hit musical comedy, “The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas”, June 11-12, at 7 p.m. at The Firehouse. Show dates are Aug. 17-19, 24-25. Parts available for adults of all ages, with the heaviest concentration in 20-35 age range. Again, though, actors beyond this age range are needed as well. Newcomers and veterans alike are encourage to try out. If you have any questions or are unable to audition at the schedules times, please call Ben Graf at 719-0953 before auditions.
