2 Huskies need help by 5pm
By wagmore - Posted on July 18th, 2008
It has come to my attention that there are 2 huskies 1 female, 1 male about 1-1&1/2 years old that have until 5pm to live in our local pound. They have already passed their 3 day maximum and someone basically bought them an extra day. FDRA does not have a foster family at this time.
I don't know much about them except the person who called me said they are very friendly and were found together around 4th street.. If you can help and open your home, please contact the pound by 4pm today just to be safe.

On Saturday, July 19, 2008 Friends of Del Rio Animals were advised of the situation with the two Huskies. We did have a member who was able to take them temporarily until we could find a foster home or even possibly transfer them to a Husky Rescue Group. We contacted Animal Control and asked that they be held until after the weekend. They advised us that nothing would be done until Monday afternoon. I personally called the emergency "on call" phone number for AC and was advised by that City employee that he was personally going to adopt both of the Huskies on Monday. We asked if it fell through to please contact us. To date, we have not heard a word and had to assume that they were in fact adopted.
Good job, Ann. Del Rio's
Good job, Ann. Del Rio's lucky to have you and FODRA. You always come through in a pinch, Deb and I know from personal experience. How's the new shelter coming along?

I know its way past there
I know its way past there date but please tell me someone was able to help those babies. When I read this my heart sunk because I just knew they didn't get saved. You can even call me at 830-469-6413. I really want to know if they are okay or if they still need help.
