New Super
Well they have done it once again, after they cried the last time, yes I am referring to hiring a less educated Super. Dont get me wrong a piece of paper does not make a person, experience is always best.. Question is what were these top three applicants doing while looking for their position, it says where they have worked before, where do they work now are they umemployed and if yes why.....don't bring us leftovers please...no offense but the selected Super looks as though he is near retirement and is looking to supplement his retirement years hopefully I am totally wrong.....best of luck to our children....the good thing is that an outsider was hired again hopefully he does not get caught up in the SFDRCISD corruption and compadre system that has existed for so long.

Mr. Sontag, You are correct. I judged a book by its cover. I, one who prides himself in equal and fair treatment for all. I apoligize to Mr. Hall. Additionally I hope he moves us forward during his tenure. Sometimes getting fed up with the local B.S. politicos tend to give one no hope for change in our community. This watch dog humbly has his tail between his legs on this one.

Watchdog, your comments sound deliberately insulting to Tommy Hall, the guy who came OUT of retirement to help us through a huge change in leadership here. I've interviewed the man, came away very impressed, and believe he has no intention of staying any longer than we need to get a new superintendent on board. He introduced himself today at a meeting with Rep. Pete P. Gallego as the INTERIM supt, and he means it.
His experience is profound and his no-nonsense approach to de-politicizing SFDRCISD is refreshing. He'll have no need to play political poker while he's here because he has no long-range vested interest in who's brandishing the trump cards. Give Tommy Hall a break, welcome him to our starved community, and encourage him to do what he can to set us on a different course during the time he's committed to be here before going back to retirement in Brady, Texas.

Maybe this was why they hired an outsider. The last super had mastered the compadre system to the max. I do not know if you attended the last school board meeting but the new super so far as a good head on his shoulders.

Weren't the other candidates so called outsiders as well? Not having been at the interviews the only difference I cold see was this guy's experience. Unless I read something wrong.
