Airport Director should be fired

By alcerva - Posted on July 8th, 2008

The culprit in the Pico Aviation mess is the airport director who lost control of the airport. He should be fired! The judge is right in saying "it is a display of arrogance".If the city council don't see this stupidity they too should be remove from office.Whats the use of having aan airport diector if the rules of the city agreement are not enforce? And, these mess is about money and control.

Not sure how the airport

Not sure how the airport manager should be handled as he works for the city manager and she works for the city council. If there is any firing it should be from the top down. Going to be very interesting to see how the city handles what sounds like pure discrimination on the cities part towards Mr. Kusenberger. Under oath, Mr. Martinez said Fed Ex was "trespassing" on city property by placing tie downs and markings on the ramp that were never approved by him or anyone else. Fed Ex put the tie downs there after they leased the building from Mr. Kusenberger. The city has not attempted to remove Fed Ex like they have Mr. Kusenberger. They haven't even mention the trespass to Fed Ex, according to sworn testimony by the airport manager. The city is and has been in negotiations with Fed Ex to build them a large building on the airport. Funny how the city wants to get rid of Mr. Kusenberger but it is ok for Fed Ex to violate the law and the city turns a blind eye. To me that is discrimination, which is against the Federal law governing airports that have received grants from the FAA. Everyone on the airport must be treated equality by the city or risk having to pay back to the FAA all the grant monies the city has received over the past 20 to 25 years. More is at stake in this law suite than meets the eye. The motive will comes out in depositions why the city is trying to shake down Mr. Kusenberger while not caring what happens to the airport or the monies it has received from the FAA. We should be concerned about any future funding coming our way after the irresponsible actions of our city.

The City council reject

The City council reject mediation, instead filed a law suit.Pico tried to mediate the situation, but airport director send a letter to Pico saying they would not mediate becauise it was for money and control.Pico pays the City $240 a month for rent.FedEx pays Pico $1500
a month for sublease, although there is a violation in the agreement, the judge rule that this case was too complex and therefore not a case to be heard by the justice of the peace that can only rule on one aspect of the[ a subleasing prohibition] of the agreement.I think Pico should pay more money for rent.Thats my opinion.

I'm sorry but, What??

I'm sorry but, What?? Whatever message you were trying to convey didn't get translated into words too well.

The Judge rule that this

The Judge rule that this case was to complex and therefore not a case to be heard by the justice of the peace that can only rule on one aspect of the [subleasing prohibition]of the agreement,AMOR, do you understand that part? The Judge also said that he wanted negotiation between the City and Pico. You understand that? The Judge also said that this case is about money and control? You understand that? This case is what it is,the City and the airport director let the rent at $240 a month slide for 17 months. I say fire the airport director.
If you don't understand that this case is about money and control then go and investigate and read the file , you get a better understanding.

Oh Good Lord! We need to

Oh Good Lord! We need to step back and take a breath here. First off no one is perfect. Second we don't know if he has done anything wrong and passing any type of judgment on him as a knee jerk response would simply be asinine. It would send an unwonted but visceral message to everyone else working for the City, that [if you see something wrong don't say a damned thing because you could get fired for it]. Third firing him would put us in the position of acting just like the "City" did in this whole matter. And lord knows we don't want to go there.

the airport director should

the airport director should be fired because he created this mess.a mess that will cost the city thousands of dollars in litigation. Its going to cost more than $1500 a month. The airport should have resolve these problem when it started. He's got the power to so.What is right is when he takes leadership. Creating a mess is not leadership.Sure,it is about money and control.

Green One Airport Director

Green One
Airport Director should be fired? What for? For doing his job?
For trying to do what is right?

What do you mean that "this mess is about money and control"? What money...the total of $1,500/month as Kusenburger's attorney stated?

Green One, I hate to tell

Green One, I hate to tell you this but the way the City phrased the first letter does indeed make this appear to be about Money and control. Pls note my earlier comments about the "Goose who laid the Golden egg" in another thread. Yes Mr. Martinez wrote and signed the letter but as I understand it he only wrote what he was told to. Thusly in my book this is about the City and not about him. Well other than the questions that I posed in the other thread.

Now who is pulling the

Now who is pulling the strings? Just when is Mrs Cole term up? Now who is Martinez? And which family tree is he from?

Court will be interesting to watch all the fingers pointing....
