Common sense should tell us
Common sense should tell us that we cannot protect ourselves from everything. I taught school for 20 years and never had a flu shot. I got sick occasionally, but no more than I would have otherwise. If you are out in the public, you tend to build up some immunity. If you're a senior citizen, and don't mingle much outside the home, then the shot might be worth taking. At least, that's my opinion, whatever it's worth (not much).
I heard so many cons about
I heard so many cons about the flue shot and I'm starting to believe the free shot is not a good idea. I prefer using chyawanprash paypal and keeping a strong health instead of getting the flue.
There are pro's and con's
There are pro's and con's for the Flu shots. I for one, stay away from them. I don't know if they do now, but when I was in the military they [required] the danged shots. I along with many others did our best to skate out of them. Every year that I got the shot I got sick and when I got away with missing it, I didn't get sick. My shot record is three books long. I look at the CDC's flu predictions like I look at Weather forecasters. They both look at statistical trends along with empirical data and in the end give it their best "scientific wild assed guess".
