Register today by phone or in person! (120 E. Garfield, 830-775-88) Stamped Valentine Cards (Ages 9-Adult) Instructor: Monica Kundra Students will learn how to make five different homemade cards. With Valentines Day right around the corner, it is the perfect time to come and learn to make cards from the heart to send out to those you love. All materials are included in the tuition. Sat, Feb 2 ? 10:00-11:30am Tuition: $5 ? 1 day Easter Scrapbooking (Ages 9-Adult) Instructor: Monica Kundra You will learn to make two 12x12 scrapbook pages for Easter pictures. Come and learn new stamping techniques or fun applications of products. All paper and supplies are included in tuition, so just come and enjoy! Sat, Mar 15 ? 10:00-11:30am Tuition: $8 ? 1 day Expanded Images Drawing (Ages 2-5) Instructor: Ashlie Daniels Too often ideas are difficult for children to come up with on demand. This drawing project gives creativity a nudge. Students will use a preset picture and expand the picture and background. It is sure to be fun! Tues, Feb. 19 ? 11:00am-12:00pm Tuition: $5 ? 1 day Tie Dye Butterflies (Ages 3-5) Instructor: Ashlie Daniels Kids will design tie dye butterflies while learning about Spring and butterflies. Tues, Mar 25 ? 11:00am-12:00pm Tuition: $5 ? 1 day Mother’s Day Plates (Ages 3-5) Instructor: Ashlie Daniels Kids will color and design plates to give to their moms. They will also talk about why mothers are important and what they love most about their own mother. Tues, May 6 ? 11:00am-12:00pm Tuition: $5 ? 1 day Beginning Ballet & Tap I (Ages 3 - 4) Instructor: Jennifer Lynn Rhinesmith This class will take students through the basics in ballet technique and tap. Sat, Feb 16 – Apr 5 ? 10:00-10:45am Tuition: $40 ? 8 weeks Ballet shoes required Intermediate Ballet & Tap II (Ages 4 - 5) Instructor: Jennifer Lynn Rhinesmith This class will take students build upon the basics of ballet technique and tap to bring students to the next level. Sat, Feb 16 – Apr 5 ? 11:00-11:45am Tuition: $40 ? 8 weeks Ballet shoes required Pointe Technique (Ages 13 and up) Instructor: Jennifer Lynn Rhinesmith This class will take students through the basics in ballet technique as well as introducing them to beginning pointe. Mon, Feb 11 – Mar 31 ? 5:00-6:00pm Tuition: $40 ? 8 weeks Ballet shoes required Ballet/Jazz/Tap (Ages 13 and up) Instructor: Jennifer Lynn Rhinesmith This class will take students through the basics in ballet, jazz and tap. Classes will conclude with a short performance. Mon, Feb 11 – Mar 31 ? 6:00-7:00pm Tuition: $40 ? 8 weeks Ballet shoes required Mexican Folklor Dance (Ages 6-8) Instructor: Ana L. Urtega Mexican Folklor Dance is known and appreciated in the most remote regions of the world. The dance is one of the most complete exercises that exist, because it not only requires consistency and discipline, but also requires one to maintain a high level of concentration. Dancing also works as an excellent therapy to relive stress. A performance will be held at the end of the classes. Classes will run over stretches, routines, and more! Date and Time to be Announced Tuition: $25 ? 1 week Beginning Guitar Instructor: Victoria Luna In this class, students will learn the chords and basic notes of guitar in order to learn different kinds of songs. Mon, Feb 11 – Apr 14 ? 7:00-8:00pm Tuition: $50 ? 10 Weeks Students must provide their own guitar. Intermediate Guitar Instructor: Victoria Luna In this class, students will first review and then build on their knowledge of chords and the basic notes of guitar in order to learn different kinds of songs. Tues, Feb 12 – Apr 15 ? 7:00-8:00pm Tuition: $40 ? 10 Weeks Students must provide their own guitar. Intro to Drawing (Ages 7-15) Instructor: Diamond Vigil Through studying basic shapes, the students will be introduced to drawing during various drawing exercise. The course is designed for students who want to learn how to draw. Thu, Feb 28 – Mar 27 ? 6:30-8:00pm Tuition: $40 ? 5 weeks Drawing of Human Anatomy (Adult) Instructor: Adrian Ordaz Students will learn how to draw parts of the human body, including facial features, hands, legs, and more. No experience necessary, but past drawing experience may be helpful. Sat, Feb 9 – Mar 8 ? 1:00-2:30pm Tuition: $40 ? 5 weeks The Process of Sketching and Drawing (Adult) Instructor: Adrian Ordaz Develop your drawing abilities through sketching. The objective of the class is to build a strong foundation for creating artwork. Sat, Mar 15 – Apr 12 ? 1:00-2:30pm Tuition: $40 ? 5 weeks Painting with Watercolor (Age 15 – Adult) Instructor: Aki Hatfield Students will learn how to use watercolors and watercolor techniques. Be prepared to have fun with colors and find an expression of your style! Wed, Feb 13 – Apr 2 ? 6:00-8:00pm Tuition: $60 ? 8 Weeks By Fearing to Attempt: Shakespearean Drama (Ages 12 - 18) Instructor: Luis Alberto Gonzalez By Fearing to Attempt is a program that allows students the opportunity to discover their own unique voice through the works of William Shakespeare. Students will work on a series of Shakespearean monologues. The program culminates with a presentation of the monologues. Sat, Feb 9 – Apr 12 ? 1:00-2:00pm Tuition: $40 ? 10 Weeks Jewelry - Precious Metal Clay Workshop (Adult) Instructor: Cassidy Mickelsen Students will learn how to work with precious metal clay. They will design their own piece of jewelry using the clay. All materials will be provided. Sat, Apr 29 ? 12:00-3:00pm Tuition: $30 ? 1 day Slab & Slap Hand-Building Techniques (Adult) Instructor: Marta Gonzalez-Stitts Students will explore hand-building techniques of medium to large structures with alternative surface applications, including tessellated tiles. All tools, clay, and glazes provided. Tues, Feb 5 - Apr 7 ? 6:00-9:00pm Tuition: $115 ? 10 weeks Conversational Spanish (Adult) Instructor: Armando Sanchez Learn to communicate in Spanish through basic skills. No experience necessary. Mon & Wed, Feb 11 – Mar 31? 7:00-9:00pm Tuition: $55 ? 8 Weeks The Wines of France (Ages 21 and up) Instructor: Jeff Mahl This course will allow students to investigate the history, geography, and characteristics of some of the most famous wines and wine regions in the world. They will explore four wine regions of France: The Rhone, Loire, Bourgogne, and Bordeaux. Two to three different wine selections will be available per class. All supplies included. Class is limited to eight participants. Reserve a spot now! Fri, Mar 7 – 28 ? 6:00-7:00pm Tuition: $115 ? 4 weeks All proceeds go towards the Philip Mahl Memorial Kitchen Purse Making (Ages 12 – Adult) Instructor: Cassidy Mickelsen This purse making workshop will allow students to learn how to easily make a cute purse! Come have fun and leave with a fashionable accessory – your own handmade purse! Sat, Apr 12 ? 1:00-2:30pm Tuition: $15 ? 1 day Watermelon Carving (All Ages) Instructor: Cassidy Mickelsen Come learn how to carve not only delicious to the taste, but delicious to the eye watermelon treats. Watermelon cars, watermelon dinosaurs, a watermelon garden, the possibilities are endless. The class is free, you just need to bring your own watermelon! Sat, May 17 ? 1:00-3:00pm Tuition: FREE! ? 1 day The Art of Picture Placement Instructor: Krystle Moore Do your pictures ever hang to one side, seem off centered to the wall, or just plain don’t look right? This class will teach students how to hang pictures correctly. Whether it be in a gallery or in your own home, a nicely hung picture is a work of art in its self.
